The main goal of COMPO is to improve the quality and the diffusion of the member-companies products both through the participation of experts in the activity of specific technical commissions and through the analysis of economic and promotional activities. The presence of COMPO companies at fairs in Italy and abroad is defined by the main theme of such events and by the importance of the area. For example, they are present at IPACK-IMA, at HANNOVER MESSE, at ACHEMA, ITMA, IPACK-IMA, and BAUMA. The task of COMPO experts is even more demanding for the activities related to defining the European standards in cooperation with the most important standard institutions (for example, with CEN/TC 232, European technical committee for the standards of compressor safety, CEN/TC 197 for pump safety; and ISO/TC 115 Pumps and ISO/TC 118 Compressors and pneumatic machines). Among other things, they have dealt with the analysis of the different directives (for machinery, for electromagnetic compatibility, for low tension, for simple pressure vessels), with the European directives 97/23/CE PED for pressure equipment, and 2000/14/CE relating to the noise emission by equipment used outdoors and 94/9/CE ATEX for equipment and protective systems intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. |
